The library now has a Nintendo Switch and games available for checkout! 

This project was funded by the Foundation for Southern Tier Libraries!

To check out the Nintendo Switch Console visit the front desk. Each patron is required to sign a User Agreement Form that goes over the responsibilities associated with checking it out.

Check-out Policies and Information:

• Console Kit can be checked out for 7 days.
• Console Kit can be placed on hold but are unable to be renewed.
• The kit is to be returned to the circulation desk in person by card holder. Returns will not be accepted at the book drop.
• Contents of the kit will be inspected in front of patron before being checked out and when returned to ensure all items are present and in good condition.
• Patron will be informed of replacement costs at the time of checkout.
• Patron’s account will be BARRED at overdue date (8 days checked out) until the Nintendo Switch Console Kit is returned.
• Nintendo Switch Console Kit will accrue late fees. The late fee is $1.00 every day the kit is overdue, to a maximum of $10. After $10 is accrued, the Nintendo Switch Console Kit will be marked as MISSING and the total cost of replacement will be placed on the account until kit is returned or paid for.
• All patron contact information is verified at the time of checkout.
• Patrons must be 18 years or older to check out Nintendo Switch Console Kit. Parents or guardians may check-out kit for anyone under 18 years old.
• Replacement costs are as follows:

  • Nintendo Switch dock/charging station: $59.99
  • Pair of JoyCon Controllers: $79.99
  • Pair of JoyCon Straps: $7.99 each
  • Joycon Grip: $19.99
  • Power Cord: $29.99
  • HDMI Cable: $7.99

Games may be checked out by library card holders aged 18 years or older. Minors under 18 with a Parental Agreement Form on file may check-out video games as well.

Forms will be filled out at the time of check-out at the front desk.
