New Programs

Old Fashioned Soap Making- November 13th at 6:60 pm: Learn to make soap the old fashioned way! This program allows participants to craft their own soap with a variety of molds and natural additions such as hibiscus flowers, jojoba, lavender, and vanilla beans—the sky is the limit!

Book Page Pumpkins- November 18th @4:00pm: Craft a pumpkin from old books! Registration required: Call, e-mail, or message us on Facebook to reserve your spot. Free program.

Watercolor Portrait Painting- November 24th at 4:30pm: Refine your watercolor painting skills with this intermediate class, Watercolor Portrait Painting. We will be building off of student skill to create a more complicated piece of art within the subject of portraiture. Learn about color mixing, proportions, and watercolor techniques like glazing and lifting.

Open to ages 16 and up, this studio-style class offers a supportive space to grow your confidence and creativity. All materials are provided. Class is free of charge. Class size limited, please register by phone, email, or in person.

This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant program of the New York State Council of the Arts with support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.

Currency Conga- November 29th at 11:00am: Currency Conga is a lively, hands-on money game that gets kids moving and learning! With a flick of a spinner, players race to touch the right coins and bills, boosting their currency recognition and money math skills. Two play modes make it perfect for ages 3–12: little ones explore real coins and test their knowledge, while older kids tackle math challenges like addition, multiplication, and percents.

Door Mat Painting- DECEMBER 5th at 5:30: Save the date for this holiday program!

Add a festive touch to your doorstep with a custom-painted holiday doormat! In this cheerful, hands-on workshop, participants will design and paint their own seasonal welcome mat. Whether you’re dreaming of snowflakes, reindeer, or a cozy “Home for the Holidays” message, we’ll provide all the materials and guidance to bring your vision to life. Program fee is $10 and registration is required.

Teen and Tween Programs:

Teen Time – Friday, November 7th at 6:00 pm: Teen Time is a time for teens only to come and socialize. Join us for a night of competitive trivia.

STEAM Team- Friday, November 21st at 4:00 pm Create your own turkey and see just how far you can make him fly.

Kids Programs:

Storytime: Fridays at 10:30 am

Storytime takes place during Library Little Ones on Wednesdays at 10:30 am.

Library Little Ones: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:30-11:30 am. Drop-in play group for babies and toddlers. Time for activities, free play, and socialization for both children and their caregivers.

Crafts

Creative Community: Weekly Craft adaptable for all ages. Join us Wednesdays at 4:00 pm

Take & Make: A take home kit available at the front desk. Each kit contains materials to make the monthly craft at home.

Book Club

This month’s book club pick is The School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister. Join us for light refreshments and discussion 11/19 at 12pm.
